Twelve Days of Sparkles: Three Christmas Cocktails

I’ll be the first to admit: I’m not much of a bartender. But I’m branching out and adding these colorful and sparkly Chrismtas-themed cocktails to my list this year (can I get a stack of these cards too?). Maybe one of them will turn out well! jen darling by j.k.h. nelson

First up is the Fig Caipirinha Cocktail from Redbook. Most people have probably never had fig, but if you can get them fresh and eat them immediately, they are pretty yummy. Figs are rarely carried in grocery stores because they spoil within 2-3 days of arriving. I can only imagine how the gentle sweetness of figs blends in with the Leblon Cachaça. Now who can tell me how to muddle?

Next up is the Cranberry Mojito. I love the extended directions from We Are Not Martha, it makes me think that these mojitos would turn out better than my disaster attempt at mint juleps for the 2009 Kentucky Derby. I’m a big fan of cranberry and rum, and I can’t wait to try them out together. good thing we have a selection of Caribbean rums to choose from!
