Today, I really just need a dose of pretty. With the holidays looming on the horizon, stress levels are rising and sleep is getting harder to come by. At least Daphne had this adorable photo with Santa at Kindergarten class on Saturday:
So here are six pretty things to help brighten your day (and mine).
How can you say no to this adorable Christmas style shoot over on The Glitter Guide featuring Emily Henderson from HGTV? I’ll take anything that includes fun balloons and a pink-and-navy Christmas. Peonies included. Bonus: having the presents up on a side table in the shape of a Christmas tree makes them Daphne-proof.
Next year, this sweet DIY Santa and his Reindeer garland will be first on my list of Christmas projects. Check out the directions over on The Proper Pinwheel. Rudolf is even leading the way with a red jingle bell for a nose.
Everything is better when there is pink involved. Pink sequins? Double the fun. This Juicy Couture Daydreamer bag in Angel Pink would be a great pick-me-up on any kind of wintery day.
If you didn’t know that my life’s goal is to become a famous novelist and live in a beach house in Charleston, SC, then now you know. One of the things I love most about Charleston is it’s colorful architecture. It’s also famous for its iron work, spotted on nearly every building in the city. Somehow, the lyre became both a symbol of the city that holds my heart and the symbol of Alpha Chi Omega, proving that both were destined to be part of my life forever. (And yes, I am very envious of this lyre gate and perfect pine trimmings on the George Eveleigh House!)
No holiday party is complete without a pair of sparkly flats. These Kate Spade Trixie flats are fun enough for a night on the town and casual enough to pair with a cozy sweater and jeans for my casual office.
Finally, number 6 is going to have to be a tie between two Christmas accessories that you should seriously consider buying (I know I am):
The Twelve Days of Christmas in the South cocktail napkins and this Stashing Through the Snow hand-painted glass ornament. Yup, I know, that just made your day. It made mine too.
