Twelve Days of Christmas: Ten Alligators Sunbathing

Last night we arrived in Tampa and took the short drive down to my in-laws in Sarasota. On the way, we learned that the ponds of their community are filled with alligators.

At night, they waddle from one pond to another, choosing a new spot to spend their daylight hours. This has me terrified that while taking Daphne outside is going to end in one or both of us as a midnight snack.

Hopefully the gators will stick to their sunbathing and we can stick to our walks. And if we’re really lucky, we won’t see any let alone 10.

I will have a few fun posts going up once we get home, from trips to the beach, a mini spa day, and exploring the Sarasota area, there will be lots of goodies coming up! Cheers!
