When this stunning space popped up as Coco+Kelley’s Room of the Week, I did a little double take. Is that a rug designed to look like garden moss?
I do love the glam mix of neutrals in the space, and how those two love seats feel like one big sofa because neither has an inner arm. That styling I’ll have to borrow somewhere in our house, someday when we buy like way more furniture.
Designed by David Mann of MR Architecture for House & Garden, the carpet in this living/dining space is designed around tiles – not quite sure if it’s carpet or stone – and is purposefully left out in the key places. Like under the dining room table. Though it looks like sliding your chair in and out will require practice.
Oh, and there’s this gorgeous baby grand piano in the space too. And while that furry pouf is a smart way to bring some fun around a potentially stuffy piece, I’m not a big fan of the fur look. Especially when it has more and longer hair than I do.
So what do you think about the carpet in this space? And the small animal living under the piano? Do you have a favorite/least favorite part about this design?
