Yesterday we had our first real snowfall of the year. And boy did it come down! Six inches of fresh powder coated our house in about 3-4 hours.
Daphne had hours of fun, we almost couldn’t get her to come inside.
She dug sticks up out of the snow, raced around the back yard, and jumped through every snow pile she could find.
When we bought our house, we negotiated for the seller to leave a whole bunch of stuff behind – including his lawn equipment and a very handy snow blower. Adam pulled it out and started on our driveway.
Then he did our neighbors driveway. He had them both finished in about 20-30 minutes.
Sherlock wasn’t sure what to think. He stared out of different windows all day, finally settling in to watch Daphne play.
We brought him outside to get a family photo (trust me, there’s a good one going on our Christmas card!).
And he was not happy with the snow. Sherlock bolted to the dry (and probably warmer) stairwell leading down to the basement door before we could shoo him up and inside the house.
We seriously had too much fun, and I know Daphne can’t wait to get back outside and play in the snow!
