Happy Wednesday! Since I’m not quite up and running around yet, I have been so excited to hear the shopping exploits of my friends. Coming to you today from Atlanta is my dear friend Chelsea Peabody. Enjoy!
When Jen asked me to share a guest OOTD, I knew my introduction to her faithful readers had reflect the “friend with the great style” moniker that she has bestowed upon me. After a survey of my ever-growing closet, the choice became “a-parrot” so to speak.
I love whimsical details and pops of color, and this outfit – worn to drinks at the adorable, yet kitschy Old Blind Dog Irish Pub in Brookhaven, GA – combines them.
The sleeves of the Beulah sweater, featuring over-sized parrots with bright yellow, red and navy feathers, have made me smile since the first time I spotted them. I balanced the boldness of the sweater with dark jeans by Old Navy and classic brown leather boots by Steven Madden.
I highlighted the parrots’ feathers with red pops of color presented in a fabulous bejeweled lips bracelet and faux snakeskin studs by Golden Stella, and an envelope purse that I found at Primark during a semester in London.
My final accessory is always perfume. I have amassed an excellent collection of scents, and I love wearing a different one each day. For this night out, I chose DKNY pureDKNY A Drop of Verbena. The bright, natural smell of this perfume had an air of sophistication and style that perfectly complemented my bold ensemble.
What are your thoughts on my first guest OOTD post? What is your favorite part of Chelsea’s outfit?
