The Puppy Ate My Makeup Brushes

Last week, I was trying to be a responsible adult and wash my makeup brushes. Clearly I wasn’t thinking about it, and left them within puppy reach. Daphne destroyed every single one.

So I am now in the market for a new set. Ladies – any brands you would recommend? Or shops that I should look at? I’ve already got Ulta, Sephora and Target on my list. I just want to make sure I’m not missing anything.

In other zoo news, Adam is in DC today and tomorrow for work training (jealous). So the menagerie and I snuggled last night. And by snuggled I mean Daphne ignored me and Sherlock kept me up all night licking my arms and tickling me with his whiskers. He threw in a few nibbles for good measure. Seriously, what did I do?

And finally, these critter sweaters are showing up everywhere. So here’s the question: are they really work-appropriate for young professionals? As darling as they are, I just don’t know if I can see them in most workplaces. What do you think?

Oh, what a bummer about your brushes. The Eco-tool collection that you can find in drugstores, CVS, Rite-Aid, have a very good reputation for quality brushes at reasonable prices. The Sonia Kashuk line at Target is the same but with more options. I would take a look at Allure’s Best of Beauty recommendations as well.

I know. I’ve tried the Sonia Kashuk brushes before, and I wasn’t 110% in love. I need to just poke around and find something!
