Ski Style

1930s

Following Snow.com and a few other ski-focused pages on Facebook has left me longing for a day on the slopes. Luckily, Bloomspot put together an inspirational list of ski style over the last 80 years. Thing’s have certainly gotten more waterproof and have added a whole lot of safety equipment (thank goodness), but I certainly wish those loose, baggy snowboarder pants would  just say sayonara. Take a cue from Shawn White boys, Euro-style skinny boarding pants aren’t only just more aerodynamic.

These are my favorites over the years:

Love that bright red lipstick and pin-up curls. Maybe a bit too much maintenance after a dozen runs, but definitely giving me some ideas.

Can I get a sizzling mountain-side lunch and some sunscreen? This is brilliant.

Neon is huge right now. Maybe it’ll still be in style when I’m looking for my next set of gear. I’d love a hot pink piping on my ski boots. Though I doubt the ski industry is that on-trend, they seem to be a bit more  over-encompassing of what’s popular in fashion.

Of course this list wouldn’t be complete without a photo of the Duke and Duchess in the Alps. I ski in pearls too.

Which one is yours?
