Spring Dip

This weekend was absolutely beautiful. Adam and I took Daphne to a local park, Marsh Creek, to try and get her to swim.

Adam took Daphne to explore and find a good place to get in the lake. I had a blissful few minutes by myself to lay under the sun and soak up a little relaxation.

She was a total natural! We weren’t sure why she wasn’t too keen on the water when seeing just how easily she took to it. Then after a few trips into the lake she was shivering. We figure her small size and the lower temperature of the water this time of year means she was just plain cold.

So then I thought I would try a dip, and I didn’t think it was that bad. At least my ankles didn’t mind it in the warm sun rays.

Then I decided to take Daphne onto the water without putting her into the water, to try and make her more comfortable with the idea of it. She was wary.

And we even got a nice family portrait. At least there was one where we were all looking.
